General Hospital Spoilers: Heather And Ryan Are Not Esme’s Parents — Who Is?

General Hospital spoilers suggest Heather Webber (Alley Mills) and Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) are not Esme Prince’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) birth parents. Esme may think that right now, and that was always the plan from where Ryan and Heather sat. Of course, Ryan wasn’t supposed to be killed in the process, but Heather is going to do her best to carry out their plan in the wake of his demise.

Heather and Ryan may have been involved years ago, but that doesn’t mean they had a child together, and even if they did, that doesn’t mean Esme is that child. However, there is a lot of potentially heavy symbolism floating around Port Charles right now that has fans thinking it’s possible Esme could actually be the child of Mac Scorpio (John J. York) and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner). How though?

Fans weren’t taken through every bit of Ryan and Felicia’s time together, but it was clear that Ryan’s capture of her decades ago kept her in his orbit for some time without being willing to break free or question his intentions. Was Felicia brainwashed or just held captive? Could she have been pregnant when Ryan captured her and might he have taken that child — Esme -– when she gave birth in his care and given it up for adoption?

Although Felicia always loved Mac, they didn’t always know what kind of future they wanted together. In their earlier years as a couple, they were both so focused on righting wrongs and chasing their career aspirations, that they may have fallen pregnant and decided it wasn’t the right time for them. No one that knows them would expect to see that twist coming.

Is it all too telling that Mac is the person who put the final bullet in Ryan’s chest, ultimately claiming his life? Ryan only hitched the launch to Spoon Island because he wanted to pay Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) one final visit before he headed off into the sunset with Heather and Esme. He never expected to find Felicia there, too.

Was this just the cherry on top before his final scenes, or foreshadowing of Felicia’s connection to Esme and the entire situation? Furthermore, Mac’s recent close call with Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) made it look like the couple may have some regrets about never having a child with one another. Could it be that they did? Might the confusion between Mac and Felicia when they both thought the other wanted a child really have been Felicia’s guilt about giving Mac’s child up for adoption?
