General Hospital Spoilers: Jonathan Jackson Talks About GH, The New Enation Album, And MusicGeneral Hospital spoilers tease that singer-songwriter Jonathan Jackson recently did an interview with Digital Journal about the upcoming album “Ultraviolet Empire” with his band, Enation. GH fans will recall Jonathan as the original Lucky Spencer on the daytime drama, where he started his acting career as a child.

Jonathan Jackson Talks About Enation’s New Album And Touring Schedule

Ultraviolet Empire, Enation’s new album, will be released later in 2020. Jonathan said “This has been in the works for quite a few years. I asked my good friend Colin Linden if he was interested in producing this record with us, and he was very open to it and excited. That was really what kicked it off.”

Jonathan continued to say, “It was a really organic process. It took a lot of time, but the actual recording process was really smooth,” he said. “It’s a raw, personal album. It’s a record that is made from a different time, almost. There is very little editing and overdubbing. We recorded it playing in the studio together. Our goal is to consistently have music coming out as much as possible.” Jonathan also hopes to announce a touring schedule soon. “We are working on a few more dates in the spring,” he said, and their song “The Days Are Evil” garnered a favorable review from “Digital Journal”.

Jonathan Jackson Talks About His GoFundMe Campaign And A Documentary He Filmed In Greece

Jonathan also spoke about the GoFundMe campaign for the Orthodox Monastery in Ireland, which was founded by Sister Iosifia, a Romanian Orthodox nun who lives in Ireland. To learn more about his campaign, click here. He said “We are going to continue to support her and the monastery in Ireland. It’s amazing what they are doing,” This past November, Jackson visited Greece where they were premiering a documentary that he filmed there about Elder Joseph the Hesychast. He said about the documentary, “That was exciting! Hopefully, they will have an English version and perhaps some premieres and screenings.”

Jonathan said in regards to being an artist in the digital age, “It has its good side and its bad side. I love the fact that we are able to make music and release it globally to so many people. It is difficult for artists to make money off of streaming, so that’s one of the main downsides. For Enation, the music is about connecting with people, and hopefully, having songs, albums, and concerts that have some kind of inspiration and meaning in their lives.”

However, he noted that it doesn’t look like he will be back on “General Hospital” for the time being so he will not be reprising his Emmy award-winning role as Lucky Spencer on the hit ABC daytime drama. However, he did say that he would love to work with Genie Francis again, who plays his on-screen mother Laura Webber Spencer Collins. “I got to see her for a few days when Tony Geary was filming his final scenes on the show. I would love to work more with Genie. She is amazing!” He gave all of the actors on “General Hospital” compliments for their work ethic, and added, “They all do incredible work.” In regards to the current chapter of his life, he said, “Walk by faith, and not by sight.”

He also noted that he and his fellow band members are really excited about this upcoming year, especially with the touring and the new music releases coming out. Jonathan said “We feel it’s going to be a year that is hopefully connecting with the fans on a deeper level. We have a good vision of where we are going.”
