It turns out that their movie, “A California Christmas” is getting a sequel and filming is scheduled to begin in 2021.

General Hospital Spoilers – Meeting And Working With Lauren Swickard

GH spoilers reveal that Josh met Lauren in 2017 while on the set of a movie titled “Roped.” They ended up getting married and continue to work together on some projects. Fans may recall they both played roles in the movie, “A California Christmas.” Lauren wrote the script and both starred in the production, which was an unexpected hit on Netflix. In fact, it hit the top spot worldwide on Netflix’s top ten list.

GH Spoilers – ‘A California Christmas’

The movie centers on a rich real estate heir named Joseph who tries to con farmer girl Cassie into selling him her family’s property. Joseph pretends to be a ranch hand in order to accomplish his goal. As with most feel-good holiday movies, the characters end up falling in love.

According to Variety, there is going to be a sequel, “California Christmas: City Lights.” Once again, Lauren will pen the script and will star in it along with her husband. The sequel is about Cassie trying to adjust to city life, as well as Joseph’s drastically different world. It is scheduled to begin filming in early 2021. Filming locations are reportedly going to be in different areas of northern California.

General Hospital Spoilers – What Happens To Harrison Chase?

A natural question for fans to ask is if the sequel means that Josh will leave the ABC soap. That remains to be seen and it depends on a lot of factors. Some soaps will work with actors who want to work on additional projects, but the scheduling has to work for both productions. That can get a little tricky. Plus, if “California Christmas: City Lights” has different filming locations, that can make Josh staying in General Hospital even tricker. Now, this doesn’t mean he will say goodbye, but it could lead to a leave of absence. Of course, GH would have a logical explanation for Chase not being on-screen for a bit.

GH Spoilers – Is Josh Swickard Leaving?

Of course, there might be a lot more exciting opportunities for Josh and Lauren in the future. There might come a time when the actor will want the freedom to pursue other projects. We are sure that Josh will address that when the time comes. But for right now, enjoy seeing Chase on-screen.
