General Hospital Spoilers: Joss Gutted, Dex Chooses The Mob Over Her

General Hospital Spoilers reveal that Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) has been playing a dangerous game as an undercover agent tasked with taking down a criminal master like Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). It was supposed to be a straightforward mission, but things have quickly become complicated as Dex has formed an unexpected respect for his target.

As his relationship with Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) continues to grow, Dex is finding it hard to rationalize staying in the mob — since that might be a death knell to his relationship.

However, walking away from the mob doesn’t feel like an easier choice for Dex, who has finally found a home for himself there.

Joss has been pushing Dex to end his involvement with Sonny’s organization for some time, desperate to protect him from any danger. Aren’t two bullets in the name of being a fake mobster enough already?

On some level, Joss probably knows the truth and has been lying to herself just as long as Dex has been lying to her — he doesn’t want out of the business anymore. Unwavering in his growing attachment to Sonny, Dex’s defense of the mobster will have red flags rising in Joss’ mind.

When she finally grills him, General Hospital spoilers say Dex may just blurt out his real intentions — to score a permanent spot in the overlord’s empire. Where will this leave him standing with Joss?

GH Spoilers Hint — Joss Won’t Wait

It’s been months since Joss and Dex gave into their attraction to one another and began entertaining the idea of a real relationship with each other.

It was fun keeping things under the dark of night for a bit, but nothing was a bigger relief to Joss than when Sonny told her and Dex that they didn’t need to hide their new union from him. Allowed to breathe again and not concerned about Sonny taking Dex out for sleeping with her, Joss thought the hard part was mostly over.

In the days leading up to the Pikeman deal, though, she’s going to realize only hard times are ahead. Her mother was right. Mob men are mob men for life, and that’s not the life for her.

Meanwhile, Joss’ brother, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), will experience a similar kind of relief when he learns Dex wants to stay in the mob.

Not only does this give Michael the perfect out that won’t require him to admit he doesn’t want to seek revenge against his father anymore, but it’s going to alleviate so much pressure on top of his chaotic personal life right now.

Still, Joss will be expecting more comfort and support from her big brother when she relays Dex’s decision not to leave Sonny’s organization. She’s not going to get it.

Truth be told, Michael wasn’t all that excited about Joss getting involved with someone like Dex — a guy who was willing to destroy his family from the inside out. Sure, that may be the pot calling the kettle black, but Michael may think Joss is better off finding someone a bit safer to settle down with.
