ABC General Hospital spoilers and updates reveal that fans are in a lather speculating that we’ll see Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) onscreen when the soap returns from hiatus.
Why the suspense? On Thursday, May 21 the show aired the last original episode for the time being. The show will now air encore episodes until production can begin again.
The work stoppage is due to the observation of coronavirus precaution mandates and will continue indefinitely.

During the final original episode, Luke’s name was brought up and it looks like he will be contacted in the near future, meaning we could see him either return to town or see him in his overseas location.
The scene that has lit fans’ fires occurred when Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) went to see Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth). Robert is in a dither about the news that Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) is dead. He is now on a mission to uncover the truth about what really happened (or didn’t) to the lovely lady, his ex.
Back in the day, Luke was the one who introduced Holly to Robert. The two men still have a solid friendship, but Luke is off the grid and the only one in town who knows how to contact him is Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot).

Robert asked Ned, Tracy’s son, to ask his mom for info on how to get connected to Luke and he obliged. He called Tracy and she gave him the number to Luke’s latest burner phone which he in turn handed over to Robert.

No doubt Luke will be heartbroken when Robert calls him and tells him about Holly, as he also had a relationship with her.
Even more importantly, Luke has tons of connections that could conceivably help Robert track down the truth and/or Holly.
General Hospital Spoilers – How long Will It Be Before We See Luke Spencer Again?
Then again, there is every possibility that Luke will want to get involved in the search himself. In that case, will we finally get another chance to see the iconic soap character?
That remains to be seen, but if fans’ wishes were horses, Luke will be riding bareback into Port Charles any minute now!

Yes we need some laughter to make the rest of the show bearable. Too serious, everyone is mad at someone. need some variety and that is what Luke was and is. I have watched him come on GH and go off and have waited for him to come back and do not mess this up writers!!
If he does return, for the actor’s sake, hope the writers give him a good story line. Personally I would hate to come out of retirement to the stories that are being written now. When Luke was on canvas the stories were of much more interest and Luke could always bring a little humorous levity to any situation. Even though I hate to redo the past, perhaps Luke/Laura could work together and bring some intrigue to canvas. By the way did Laura divorce Kevin and no one bothered to tell the audience. Never understood why the two were so abruptly paired then Genie fired, and Kevin went on to play his evil brother. What a waste of two characters.
Luke belongs in Port Charles! Laura and Lulu miss him and he has grandkids.

I’d love for Luke to come back for a bit. He and Sonny were great friends and Sonny could use him right now to help deal with Mike’s impeding death…and who knows, maybe he knows a little something about Brando and his sketchy background.
