General Hospital spoilers reveal in this day and age, people become celebrities in more ways than any of us could’ve ever imagined. Some are overnight sensations, while others are only discovered later in life after working their behinds off to attain fame and recognition. Still, others are groomed for the business practically from birth. We might come to recognize certain names and faces from the silver screen or a favorite new primetime series, but many of today’s hottest celebrities actually got their feet wet on soaps, and General Hospital is no exception.
General Hospital Spoilers — Meghan Markle
Back in 2001, the current Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle was a far cry from the household name she’s become today. In an uncredited role as Nurse Jill — who was a wee bit dismissive and too busy to tend to patients — Meghan scored a brief role at the GH nurse’s station acting alongside Ingo Rademacher (Jasper “Jax” Jacks). We wonder what Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy) would think.
GH Spoilers — James Franco
Alright, James Franco didn’t exactly start on GH, but his time spent as Franco Baldwin (pre-Roger Howarth) was notable enough to be the character’s namesake. Other earlier feature films you can spot him in include Pacific Blue and Never Been Kissed.
General Hospital Spoilers — Antonio Sabato, Jr.
From 1992 to 1995, nineties heartthrob Antonio Sabato, Jr. played the role of Jagger Cates on GH. Brother to Stone Cates (Michael Sutton), the brothers’ relationship was an important part of the storyline as Stone succumbed to complications of AIDS.
GH Spoilers — Rick Springfield
At the height of his musical career, Rick Springfield wasn’t just playing to audiences on stage, but on a set, too. Bringing the character of Dr. Noah Drake to life, Rick also starred as lookalike rock musician Eli Love and performed his hit song Jessie’s Girl at the 2013 Nurses’ Ball.
General Hospital Spoilers — Amber Tambyln
At just ten years old, Amber Tamblyn was the inception of the beloved Emily Bowen Quartermaine. Before Natalia Livingston ever took Emily through her teenage years, battle with breast cancer, or her untimely death by strangulation, Amber made us fall in love with the most compassionate Quartermaine since Lila.
GH Spoilers — Ricky Martin
Before he was Livin’ la Vida Loca, Ricky Martin was a household name — at least among many households who found him easy on the eyes. Ricky played Miguel Morez, a singer and bartender who had many ties to the community. Miguel was engaged to Lily Rivera (Lily Melgar) before she found her way into the arms of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and subsequently was killed. Miguel also shared a son with Lily – Juan Santiago (Michael Saucedo).
General Hospital Spoilers — John Stamos
Going way back now, John Stamos first splashed onto the GH scene in 1982 as Blackie Parrish. He was a boy from the streets who Lesley Webber (Denise Alexander) and Dr. Rick Webber (Chris Robinson) took in from foster care. We haven’t seen Blackie since 1984, but plenty of fans are still holding their breath for this reprisal.
GH Spoilers — Demi Moore
Before Kim Delaney took the reins starring as reporter and mother to Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), Jackie Templeton, she had an equally recognizable face. Demi Moore is credited with first bringing this character to life, and many longtime fans had hoped she would reprise it someday, but it’s safe to say she may be a bit outside of the daytime tv circle these days.
