General Hospital Spoilers: Nina Forces Carly Truth, Britt Spills The Willow Tea?

General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) might force the truth about Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) out of Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). Her cousin, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) is Willow’s obstetrician and she could discover in the process of running medical tests that they’re related.

General Hospital Spoilers: It’s All Relative

If Willow knew that Britt was Nina’s cousin, she likely would choose another obstetrician; but even though Carly surely knows apparently Willow does not. However, Willow’s medical doctor and colleague Dr. TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) knows that Willow has a medical condition causing high white blood cell counts, and asked Britt to consult with him. This means Britt will be aware of Willow’s condition and she will run more tests to make sure the baby isn’t being affected; considering it a high risk pregnancy.

Britt obviously won’t be looking for a family connection between Willow and herself or Nina, but she may spot genetic markers she recognizes. Willow’s condition could be genetic, and pass through the Westbourne/Obrecht side of the family.

GH Spoilers: Britt Westbourne Had Genetic Testing That May Have Shown Markers On Both Sides

When Britt underwent genetic testing in Canada while on the run with Jason Morgan, (Steve Burton) she was specifically tested for Huntington’s Disease. However, the geneticist may have also checked for other conditions while he or she was at it, There are certain types of leukemia that can be hereditary, and genetic markers would show; and that is one thing that definitely could cause a high white blood cell count.

Since Willow does not know her family medical history, or even who her real family is for that matter, there could be cause for further testing. Knowing that she likely will need a bone marrow transplant, it would be wise to check GH files to see if a match could be identified in the existing donor pool. Britt, knowing she has those markers, but not wanting to donate herself will begin the search; Britt won’t want to donate because of her Huntington’s markers.

General Hospital Spoilers: It Turns Out The Condition Is Rare, Britt Westbourne Has A Hunch

TJ and Britt continue to work together on Willow’s case, and it turns out the condition is rare; Britt has a hunch she and Willow could be related. She isn’t aware of anyone giving another baby away, but she first tests her DNA against Willlow’s using a blood sample she takes for other reasons. Britt is surprised, but not shocked, that it is a match; but not a close match-she consults with her mother, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) first,

Liesl is as surprised as Britt and she says they need to do a test against Nina, but not tell her it’s a maternity DNA test. Liesl only knew of the one baby, who turned out to be Nelle Benson, (Chloe Lanier) but wouldn’t be surprised at anything Madeline Reeves (Donna Mills) would have done.

GH Spoilers: Nina Reeves Is Tested, And Shocked-And Steps Up

Nina is asked to test for a bone marrow match and told Liesl is testing too, which she is, because of the common genetic markers found between Britt and Willow. Britt and Liesl tell Nina it’s a just in case situation because of the possibility Willow may need a donor; Willow doesn’t need to know who potential donors are.

She hasn’t been told her sure diagnosis yet and Nina knows she’s pregnant so of course she will step up if needed; Nina’s shocked at the results. It turns out Nina will be needed to save Willow and the baby’s life; Britt divulges DNA was done and it turns out Nelle had a twin! But Carly will be even more shocked, because she is keeping a secret and didn’t expect it to be exposed.

General Hospital Spoilers: Willow Tait, Michael Corinthos, Nina Reeves And Carly Corinthos Called To GH

TJ calls Willow, Michael Corinthos, (Chad Duell) Nina and Carly into a meeting with Britt after talking to Willow and Michael first; Carly comes for support. Britt has to bring TJ in on the loop of doing DNA tests because of the genetic markers found; a bit awkward, but the family needs to know. Willow needs a bone marrow transplant for a rare disorder, but luckily, relatives were found right there in town; at the second meeting, Britt spills the tea.

Carly is forced to admit to Michael and Willow that she knew Nina was Willow’s mother but swore to Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) who knew too, she’d never tell. As for Nina, she worries about the desperate diagnosis but steps up to save her daughter and grandbaby.
