General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease that Peter August (Wes Ramsey) will be transferred to Spring Ridge after the poison he ingested in a recent episode of General Hospital causes permanent damage!
General Hospital Spoilers And Rumors – The Toxin Peter Ingested Damaged A Part Of His Brain Involving Movement
General Hospital viewers will recall that Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) carried a breakfast tray to Peter in Pentonville, which at first Peter had refused. General Hospital viewers will remember that previously, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) had made a deal with Brad’s aunt, Selina Wu (Lydia Look). She promised to put a hit out on Peter if he would make sure Brad got his parole. It soon became apparent the food was poisoned, because after Peter changed his mind and ate it, he collapsed in agony in his cell!
Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) got a call letting her know that Peter had been poisoned. In spite of medical personnel’s best efforts to flush the toxins from his system or develop or discover an antidote, Peter apparently is paralyzed – botulism food poisoning was ruled out, and the poison was quick acting enough not to leave traces after doing its damage. Peter, like Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) is deemed no longer a danger although whether he also has locked-in syndrome has not yet been ascertained.
General Hospital Spoilers And Rumors – Peter August Is Transferred From Pentonville To Spring Ridge
Like was done with Ryan, Peter is transferred from Pentonville to Spring Ridge. General Hospital viewers know that this frustrates all who have been wronged by Peter, because it means he may never truly pay for his crimes. Peter cannot testify in his own behalf, which makes it doubtful that he will stand trial even though the evidence is overwhelming!
The legal definition of someone who cannot understand the difference between right and wrong and the charges being brought against him or her is actually the insanity defense. It is difficult to tell if someone is competent to stand trial for a crime or crimes if they are not able to even answer simple questions! Like Ryan, Peter can blink – so he could learn to communicate in that manner but he won’t be able to communicate in any kind of complex sentence on his own, he will have to be asked questions to which he would answer with blinks. General Hospital viewers can imagine that Peter will simply not answer them at all!
GH Spoilers And Rumors – Peter’s CT Scans Showed Permanent Damage In Parts Of His Brain
General Hospital viewers can imagine Peter’s anger, when like Ryan, he can think and he can plan and he can plot and he can blink but he can’t do anything to carry out his plots and wishes! His cognitive areas, the parts of his brain that do the thinking aren’t damage. But there is permanent damage – or it appears to be permanent – in the areas of his brain that control movement. However, botulism toxin, which is a type of food poisoning that causes paralysis in severe cases, was not detected in his blood work and besides, it doesn’t affect people instantaneously like this toxin appeared to have. General Hospital viewers and those who Peter have wronged would rather he be punished to the furthest extent of the law, but if like Ryan, he is imprisoned inside himself the rest of his life, that might work too!

Don't feel this condition will be the end of the Peter saga as it was too simple and easy. More than likely he will have been misdiagnosed and return for someone to remove from canvas for once and for all time.
