General Hospital Spoilers: Peter Tries To Destroy Laura, Jackie And Martin Work To Stop Him?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) finally realizes that despite their recently discovered sibling relationship, that Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis) won’t be persuaded to accept Cyrus into her life. He is a dangerous drug lord, and there is no way that Laura would ever endorse that kind of criminal activity in Port Charles.

And just to make sure she was clear, Laura added that her daughter Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) is not in a coma and may never recover after she was caught in an explosion at the Floating Rib, that Cyrus ordered and she would never, ever be a real sister to the man responsible for Lulu’s injuries.

General Hospital Spoilers – Indicate Finally Realized That Laura Collins Is His Enemy.

Although it took many months, Cyrus has finally realized that Laura will always be working against him so he summoned Peter August (Wes Ramsey). Peter owns the Invader, the major source of printed news in Port Charles, and Cyrus wants to use the power of the press to turn public opinion against Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Laura. Cyrus is convinced that Laura is turning a blind eye to the criminal activities of the Corinthos Mob Family. And while Laura told Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) that if she ever had evidence of Sonny engaging in criminal behavior that she would go after him even though they are dear friends. The same is likely true now that Sonny is believed to be dead, and Carly is in charge. But a couple of recent incidents could be twisted to make Laura seem corrupt.

GH Spoilers – Indicate That Peter August Might Be Able To Poison The Minds Of Port Charles Residents Against Mayor Laura Collins!

Viewers may remember that Laura told Carly where the nursing home was where she had located Cyrus’ mother, Florence Grey (Annie Abbott). And while Laura had no idea what Carly would do with that information it certainly could look like Laura’s plan was to have Carly abduct Florence to keep Cyrus from escalating any violence against Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) or anyone else that Carly loves. And while Laura was furious that Carly took Florence she didn’t do anything to see that Florence was returned where Cyrus could see her. And even more recently, Laura agreed to attend a family dinner with Cyrus to distract him while Carly carried out a mysterious plan. And while Laura said she didn’t want to know Carly’s plan, she had to realize at some point that the plan was to facilitate Jason’s escape from police custody. If Peter were to write about either of these events in the Invader, it wouldn’t be very difficult to make Laura look like a criminal herself!

General Hospital Spoilers – Jackie Templeton Will Likely Work To Undo The Damage To Laura Collins’s Reputation.

If Peter is successful, Laura might have to consider resigning from her office as Mayor of Port Charles. This would devastate Laura, as she truly wants Port Charles to thrive. And while Peter has made sure can’t write for anyone but the Invader, she won’t stand by and do nothing so look for her to write another article about Laura, reminding the citizens of Port Charles that Laura is a hero, and helped save Port Charles during the Ice Princess adventure and many, many other times over the years.

Next, she will interview Laura’s other newfound brother Martin Grey (Michael E Knight) who will likely go on record singing Laura’s praises, but also to tell the world exactly what a criminal Cyrus is. And while she can’t publish the piece in the Invader, she could self-publish through the internet, or perhaps she could take the story to the national news by calling in some favors, or perhaps Jackie could arrange another televised interview similar to the one she did with Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson). Jackie is a well-respected journalist and likely has many contacts to could help her make sure to get the story out? But will it be enough?
