While not everyone will be directly impacted, few will escape the ripple effect as heartbreak extends out all over town. A few key players may be at the root of many of the lies and treachery that are sure to ensure. Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) could be one such person, postmortem, of course. But others are doomed to suffer great heartbreak this summer as the recurring theme of deceit and disloyalty spirals through town like a tornado, tearing lives apart.

General Hospital Spoilers — Curtis Ashford Goes Toe-To-Toe With Portia Robinson

Curtis may still be fuming mad that his new bride, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), betrayed him for the last twenty years by concealing the fact that her daughter may also be his child. Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) was never clued in either until recently, and mother and daughter are only now beginning to mend fences. But for Curtis, this may cut too deep. He has distanced himself from Portia, and began to treat her as an outcast more so than family. More recently, he’s been liplocked to his ex-wife, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper), leading fans to wonder where his loyalty lies now.

Truth be told, he’s in a gray area. But Curtis is about to betray Trina and her mother in a way that far outdoes what Portia managed to do on her own. When Selina Wu (Lydia Look) offered Curtis a guarantee that the DNA test would say Trina was his, he may have found the offer too irresistible to resist. But we all know the truth always comes out. The question is: how long will that take?
