That’s right, his son Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel). Spencer is ready to reunite with his dad on one condition, that he divorce Ava Jerome (Maura West).

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest, Coloma lays out the basics of the upcoming General Hospital 2020 plotline. According to him, Spencer makes an offer he can’t refuse, thinking, “I can get my son back and I can get rid of Ava!”

Nikolas trusts that Ava of all people will understand the dynamic involved since she tried to broker a truce between father and son a while back.  Ava is thrilled that Spencer has come around!

General Hospital Updates – Will Ava Jerome Play Hard Ball With Nikolas Cassadine’s Fortune?

This is great news to Nikolas until she says, pack your bags! Ava tells Nikolas that she intends to honor the prenup which means his money and the house. Subsequently, they get into an argument and nothing is really settled.

Coloma says, “It’s so complicated between them. I don’t know is she actually has a love for Nikolas, or if she’s just genuinely after his money and the house.”

According to ABC General Hospital spoilers, Nikolas is mad but also hurt at Ava’s reaction since they are friends and could have a romantic connection down the road.  He goes on to say that he doesn’t know if Nikolas is really into Ava or even if Nikolas has a bead on that.

Coloma says that “It’s not that easy for Nikolas to choose his son over the Cassadine fortune … it’s very old money. His entire upbringing there was so much value placed on this empire.”

It sounds like Nikolas is trying to eat his cake and have it, too!

He goes on, “It’s an entire way of life, it’s his culture, his world, and he wants to give it to his son on General Hospital.”
