General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest that Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) has an indecent proposal for Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). GH fans know that recently, Nelle confronted Valentin and told him that the two found themselves in similar situations. Perhaps, there might be a way, Nelle suggested, that they could help one another.

One could say many things about Nelle Benson. Calling Nelle stupid, however, isn’t one of them. Nelle knows that Michael is (supposedly) someone who really values strategy and tactics. Nelle knows that Michael’s strategy isn’t to make her look bad in front of a judge. Why? Because that’s a bad strategy for Michael or anyone. Instead, as Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) has told Michael repeatedly, the better strategy is to bolster his own image in order to appear as the best parent to whom the judge could grant custody.

If any GH viewer believes, that Nelle hasn’t had the same advice from her attorney, Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight), they’re kidding themselves. That’s especially true since those who have been paying attention know that Martin Gray is also associated with Valentin Cassadine!

It’s quite possible that after Nelle was able to secure a job at Crimson, thus showing she is capable of holding down gainful employment, the next stop on her good mommy checklist was to find a guy who looks good on paper with whom to marry. Valentin has been moving up in the world and at present, his portfolio certainly looks attractive.

GH Spoilers – Valentin Cassadine Spits In Nelle Benson’s Face

Now, GH fans know that when Nelle proposed an alliance of sorts to Valentin, one in which she suggested that she could be very good for him … the evil Cassadine spurned her advances. In fact, Valentin didn’t just turn Nelle down, he practically spits in her face. When Nelle then tried to suggest that she could make trouble for Valentin if the man didn’t do as she wanted, Valentin shot back that he was capable of choosing on which side of Nelle’s custody case he could throw his weight.

In other words, if Nelle threatened him anymore, it might be entirely possible for Valentin to begin supporting Michael. Should that happen, well … GH viewers know that Valentin has all kinds of dirt on Nelle. One has to hand it to Nelle. In choosing to attempt an alliance with Valentin and then threaten him, Nelle truly is crazy or she has a lot of guts.

Of course, GH viewers know that while Valentin might be evil, he isn’t crazy. Valentin is quite aware of Nelle’s nature and her history. Many believe that Valentin was simply being wise in refusing Nelle’s offer. Still, the time may come when Valentin reconsiders.

Should his own custody case with Lulu Spencer-Falconeri (Emme Rylan) begin to go badly, Valentin may also wish to find someone who makes him look good. The problem here is that Nelle doesn’t look good either on paper or in any other way from a legal perspective. In fact, marrying Nelle might hurt rather than help.

Therefore, while Nelle seems a bad choice, the fact that she suggested such an alliance might percolate in Valentin’s brain. He might not choose GH’s resident sociopath, but Valentin may choose someone to bolster his own image.

Who that someone might be, however, is anyone’s guess.
