General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Calls It — Keeping Carly Safe Will Require Wedding Number Five

General Hospital spoilers reveal Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) are headed for a reunion reboot. Yeah, yeah. We’ve seen it all before. Well, not quite like this we haven’t. Carly’s snafu with the SEC is going to leave her exposed to insider trading charges if Sonny is forced to testify that he knew about her relationship with Drew and why they were hiding it.

What’s the best way to make sure he doesn’t have to? Well marrying her of course! There’s only one problem: Carly is falling in love with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), and he with her. Sonny is feeling pretty affectionate about Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), too, but that’s about to come to a screeching halt when he finds out Nina is the reason Carly is in trouble in the first place. What a sweet kind of poetic justice it will be when Nina realizes she lost Sonny to Carly because of her own bold move.

Hey, Carly wasn’t looking for a hero. She could’ve waited for Diane to work out the details or let the chips fall where they were bound to. In fact, that’s what she intended to do, and then Sonny stuck his nose in anyway and helped an old friend. Drew was safe because of Sonny, and that bought them all more time to get Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) back home where she was needed to save Willow Corinthos’ (Katelyn MacMullen) life. It was all for Willow, right?

GH Spoilers – Hint Diane Miller Is Onto Sonny Corinthos

Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) didn’t waste any time calling the don out when he rushed to Carly’s aid without question. Just why is Sonny so committed to making sure his ex-wife is okay? Diane went out on a limb and reminded him that this was a golden opportunity for more divorced parents who are sharing custody. In one fell swoop he could do away with Carly and have his kids all to himself. He could even have Nina involved in their lives and there would be nothing Carly could do about it — and yet, that’s not what Sonny wants. Is this really just about what is best for his kids, or are his own feelings caught up in the mix as well?

General Hospital Spoilers — A Love Story

Of course his own feelings are caught up in it. He’s Sonny. She’s Carly. They’re bound to find their way back to one another sooner or later. It’s sounding like it’s going to be sooner now that Sonny is at risk of being compelled to testify against her. He’s not going to do that, but will she let him risk lying on the stand and perjuring himself because of her poor choices? That’s not in Carly’s nature either, and let’s be honest, she’s been looking for an excuse to get close to Sonny again just as much as he has. Is this the beginning of a CarSon reunion? We can hope!
