General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Is Single And Surprisingly Okay With It — Is The Don Turning A Corner In His Life?

General Hospital Spoilers reveal Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has had a pattern of behavior over the years that he recently broke with — and virtually no one is talking about it. Well, I think it’s high time that we do. For years, Sonny has been the guy that everyone knows just cannot ever be alone.

Being single isn’t for the faint at heart, and Sonny can’t seem to withstand any breakup long enough to let himself heal before he’s jumping into bed with the next woman. But this time around, we’re seeing a different side of him — and the fans are quite divided on whether they like it or not.

Ever since his split with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), Sonny hasn’t really done more than enjoy some rather platonic company with other women. Given his history, this is quite shocking. Maybe he really did change his tune when he was in Nixon Falls.

General Hospital Spoilers — Ava Jerome Was an Incomplete Blip

When Ava Jerome (Maura West) moved in with Sonny earlier this year, we thought for sure it would spell a romantic disaster. We were half right. Ava let her guard down and began to believe she and Sonny could have something real — and the girl got burned.

They shared one steamy kiss that never went anywhere else. He didn’t even use her while he had her around to stem the pain of his single life status.

GH Spoilers – Hint Things Haven’t Budged with Natalia

Of course, part of the reason Sonny started to lose interest in Ava was because Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue) came around. That part didn’t surprise us.

Sonny has always let his eyes wander too easily, and when someone new comes around to flirt with, he can lose interest in his current gal pretty quickly — even when they’re married.

So Ava never had any sort of security with him. But Sonny hasn’t exactly elevated his relationship with Natalia either. He wanted her to stay in Port Charles and went great lengths to make it happen, but since then, he’s seen very little of her.

General Hospital Spoilers — He’s Not Going Back To Carly Spencer 

Perhaps the most surprising turn of events is that Sonny didn’t take the opportunity to jump back into things with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) when the chance presented itself this past summer.

Giving him a fake alibi was awfully generous of Carly, but it was as though Sonny could t be bothered with even trying to pretend they were a legitimate couple.

In the past, they couldn’t have done that without having fallen back in love with each other. It seems times — and Sonny — really have changed. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to see for yourself.
