General Hospital spoilers reveal Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has something up his sleeve, and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) isn’t going to know what hit him when it all comes out. Sonny has been doubting his ability to trust Dex for some time now. He was first tipped off a few months back, and that ended up with Dex hanging in a meat freezer ready to be carved like a Thanksgiving turkey. Fortunately for him, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) saved him, but Sonny hasn’t forgotten that, nor their loyalty to Dex. He’s been zeroing in on them ever since, and paying special attention to Dex’s covert relationships with his kids. Now, he’s about to unleash months of pent up fury, and Dex will have nowhere to hide.

When Joss kept coming around Pozzulo’s and hoping to sneak a peek at Dex and rescue him from Sonny’s clutches, Sonny didn’t think much of it. Meddling is pretty typical for Joss, and he knows better than to overestimate a woman who puts her heart on the line that way for a boy. He chalked it up to a teen girl’s crush. However, when Michael seemed just as interested in safeguarding Dex from Sonny’s harms, that made Sonny want to look deeper — and that’s when he discovered what his son was up to, and how he was using Dex to do his bidding.

Joss is just a side effect of Dex’s poor judgment, and she’s likely going to get her heart broken in this mess when it all blows up. That’s okay with Sonny. He has warned his children a thousand times not to get mixed up with his people, and vice versa. Joss knew what she was getting herself into and ignored the risks. Dex was feeling a bit rattled by Sonny the last few weeks. While the mob boss didn’t say anything too obvious to tip his hand, it seemed like he was onto Dex and suspected him of foul play. Now, things have changed. The sniper at the warehouse made for an interesting turn of events when Dex quickly used himself to shield Sonny from a bullet meant for him. On the surface, it seems like that helped Dex prove his loyalty to Sonny, but that’s all a part of the mobster’s plan to make Dex think he’s in the clear right before he drives him into the ground.
