When Ava Jerome (Maura West) told Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) there would be stipulations to get his hands on the codicil, marriage was probably the last idea viewers had in mind! This shocking twist had the entire Collins/Spencer clan in complete shock, along with its audience! Ava is known to always be quite shocking, but this was one for the books.

General Hospital Spoilers – Revenge

Ava has never been a woman to take a betrayal easily. Ava had cared for Nikolas when he had supposedly died to save her. So, there is no way she has forgiven him in any way as of yet. He used her greatest pain, the death of her daughter Kiki (Hayley Erin), and used to make her feel like she was losing her mind. He used the guilt she felt and played it against her. So, will this be a case of simple revenge against Nikolas and this only steps one in her plan? That would seem like the simple answer, but if Ava stays true to herself she is anything but simple!

Ava has always wanted the greater things in life, such as money and power! She does not carry the Jerome last name for anything. Having the Cassadine name and fortune could help her achieve even more power and money. Laura told Ava that she wanted to be the “Princess of Wyndemere,” which might have some role in her decision. The Cassadine name has been one to fear, which would be helpful in future deceits! Which, Ava being Ava, will not be too far off in her future!

General Hospital Spoilers – All About AveryJerome-Corinthos

At the moment Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernand) and Ava share custody of their daughter Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola). For Ava to even achieve shared custody she had to blackmail Sonny, who had full custody. While Ava has not said that she is looking for full custody, it is never far from either her or Sonny’s minds. Becoming Ava Cassadine makes Ava even more powerful. Will she use this new power to start another custody battle? A battle that she could possibly win, being the “happily married wife” to Nikolas Cassadine.

It is still unclear why Ava has married Nikolas but it seems that Nikolas will try to stay one step ahead of her from the very beginning. On Wednesday’s episode, Nikolas is already pointing a gun at his new wife, as she was looking for the very same gun herself!
