General Hospital Spoilers: While Drew Is Away, Carly And Sonny Will Play

General Hospital spoilers suggest Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is going to find herself in hot water soon as she scrambles to sort through feelings she didn’t know she still had. When Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) left town to assist Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) with a massive takedown of his father, Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy), Carly knew she would miss him.

She thought so at least. But her time has been pretty occupied by family drama and that isn’t going to let up anytime soon. General Hospital spoilers show Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) is dying, and she and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) are planning an overnight wedding.

Soon, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will be under fire in a whole new way, and it’ll be Carly who has to protect him. Where does that leave things when Drew returns?

General Hospital Spoilers — The Groundwork Is Being Laid

Currently, the foundation needed for Carly and Sonny to couple up again is already being laid. Carly has recently called Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) out as more or less not being woman enough to handle Sonny.

Carly’s undertone is clear — Nina isn’t Carly enough for Sonny. Whoever is with Sonny needs to be able to handle him at his worst, and love the dark side of his life, too. Nina and Carly both know only one of them really feels that way about the mob boss.

Meanwhile, Sonny has been keeping Nina at arm’s length under the guise of protecting her from whoever is targeting him. Sure, he might truly believe it’s in her best interest, but distance isn’t going to make his heart grow fonder. The same can be said for Carly with Drew.

GH Spoilers – Say Sonny Corinthos Will Need Carly Spencer’s Help

Sonny thinks he’s in trouble right now and is being extra cautious about who he lets into his circle and how he protects the people he loves from the blowback of his business. This kind of thing happens from time to time in the mob world and he doesn’t necessarily think it’s out of the ordinary.

Little does he know, his own son is planning to drag him through the mud and destroy his criminal enterprise. When Michael’s takedown takes effect, Sonny’s business will be left unmanned and vulnerable.

Without Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) around, and given that Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) will turn out to be a traitor, it’s going to be up to Carly to make sure the business doesn’t fall apart.

General Hospital Spoilers — Drew Cain Doesn’t Fit Anymore

In the midst of this chaos, Drew is going to come back to town and back into Carly’s day to day life, which will have changed considerably since he left. Drew won’t verbally convey how much of a problem he has with Carly picking up where Sonny left off, but it’s going to be written all over his face.
