General Hospital Spoilers: Why Does Valentin Have Martin Helping Nelle – Is She Nina’s Real Daughter?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Martin Grey (Michael E Knight) may not have taken on Nelle Benson’s (Chloe Lanier) case out of the goodness of his heart. The hotshot lawyer has been working pro bono for Nelle, but after his most recent visit, Martin called Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) to keep him informed about Nelle’s situation. So is Valentin paying Martin to be Nelle’s lawyer? If so, what would be his reason?

At one point, Nelle was working as Charlotte Cassadine’s (Scarlett Fernandez) nanny. She attempted to blackmail him at one point, but Valentin wouldn’t allow it and threatened her. While it’s possible that Valentin hired Martin to make sure Nelle stays behind bars, it seems like there may be more to it that just petty revenge. But why else would Valentin be so invested in Nelle’s future.

GH Spoilers – Could Nelle Benson be Nina Reeve’s daughter?

As viewers know, the identity of Nina Reeves’s (Cynthia Watros) biological daughter, if she even exists, is still unknown. Valentin had hired Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) to play that role, but that secret has come out. But perhaps Valentin really did find Nina’s daughter and that person is Nelle! Nelle is nothing but trouble and Valentin may have done all of this, including hiring Sasha, to keep that from ever coming out.

But even if it’s Nelle, Nina has a right to the know the truth. Nelle isn’t likely to suddenly change or become a good person, but Nina has been denied the truth for far too long. She deserves the right to decide whether to include her daughter in her life.
