GH SPOILERS: Will Ava And Carly Clash Over Custody Of Avery?

General Hospital spoilers tease that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) will soon get into another argument and clash over something. Could it be custody of Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola)?

Now that Laura Webber (Genie Francis) has discovered that Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) is alive and well, he will grow increasingly desperate to leave Port Charles behind with Ava, but she won’t leave without Avery.

General Hospital – Ava Will Try To Talk Carly Into Giving Her Avery

“Kevin” and Ava may try to get Avery out of the clutches of Carly and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) in a nice way one more time, which will likely be Ava’s idea. If it were up to Ryan, he’d just kill Sonny and Carly or invite Ava to do it, as he daydreamed about the other day. Then they’d just snatch up Avery and her belongings and hit the road. But in the meantime, Ava may try to con Carly into thinking that this is only a temporary visit, and then not return the tot.

Young children get attached to their toys and the people surrounding them, so taking Avery on the run would not be in her best interest. At Avery’s age, constantly changing surroundings and people, other than Ava and Ryan, could instill a terrible sense of insecurity. Even Ryan should know that, since he was trained as a pediatrician.

General Hospital – Will Ryan Kidnap Avery?

If Avery were still an infant, it would be quite different, as she wouldn’t be old enough to know the difference. If we go by real time, Avery’s almost old enough to be in kindergarten and she will be five years old this year, having been born in 2014.

If Ryan does decide to take Ava and Avery on the run with him, and he will have to kidnap her, it will just be a repeat of his history with Felicia, Maxie, and Georgie Jones (Kristina Wagner, Robyn Richards at that time, and Alana and Marina Norwood).

      I love the line “If Avery were still an infant, it would be quite different, as she wouldn’t be old enough to know the difference”. The writer should stick to the story and not throw in ridiculous false information. Every study has shown that changing the primary caregivers in INFANCY can lead to a lifetime of attachment disorder. I won’t try to be a writer of you don’t try to be a child specialist.
