General Hospital(GH) Spoilers: Nikolas Cannot Find Spencer, Is Son Headed To Port Charles?

General Hospital spoilers tease that in this week’s General Hospital sneak peek, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) is worried about his son, Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas J. Bechtel). As he is talking about his worries to Ava Cassadine (Maura West) in her art gallery, they have an unexpected guest walk in on them – Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight)!

General Hospital Spoilers – Nikolas Cassadine Has Been Distracted About His Vows Renewal Ceremony

The sneak peek opens with Nikolas and Ava in her art gallery. Nikolas follows Ava to her desk as he tells her, stammering a bit, that he didn’t mean to give her the impression that their marriage vows renewal ceremony wasn’t important to him. Ava interjects, asking Nikolas what is going on and what is with all the doom and gloom? Nikolas responds, telling Ava that he had been trying to call his son, Spencer and that once again, his call went straight to Spencer’s voice mail.

Ava tells Nikolas she’s sorry. Nikolas continues, noting how Spencer is not the precocious ten year old he used to be any more, which is the age he was when Nikolas disappeared and was presumed dead. Nikolas talks about how Spencer is almost graduated from high school now. Ava reminds Nikolas that Spencer doesn’t like her, and he doesn’t want her in his father’s life – he never did. Ava is right – and General Hospital viewers will recall that Spencer was very angry at his father for not keeping him in the loop about his being alive, even though Nikolas said it was to get their inheritance back from Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).

Spencer didn’t care about the money, he wanted his father! The little boy was devastated when Nikolas disappeared, even though from Nikolas’ account he was recovering and unable to contact anyone for quite some time after being rescued off shore from Cassadine Island by some fishermen from Cyrpus.

GH Spoilers – A Reminder That Family Is Everything

Nikolas and Ava continue to talk about Spencer’s not taking Nikolas’ calls and his anger towards Nikolas. Nikolas tells Ava that at some point Spencer will have to get over himself, and – just – he stops in his tracks, and says he doesn’t know. Nikolas tells Ava that their marriage vow renewal ceremony just will not feel right if they go through with it without Spencer standing at his side. Ava continues to try to reason with and to comfort Nikolas, saying she knows that eventually Spencer will come around. It might not be tomorrow, or the next day, or today, or even next week, but he will.

She tells Nikolas that Spencer will remember that he is Spencer’s father, and that he will remember that family is everything. Then a voice says, “I couldn’t agree more” and Nikolas and Ava turn around to see Martin Gray standing there. As General Hospital viewers know, Martin, too has a dysfunctional and divided family, with his mother Florence Gray (Annie Abbott) being in a now unknown location and a brother, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) wanting to find her – but if Florence knew, she wouldn’t want Cyrus to find her! She’s never forgiven him for running over and killing his and Martin’s father Gordon Gray (Eric Server) when Cyrus was just a teenager. Perhaps Martin and Nikolas have more in common than him being Nikolas’ half-uncle, and perhaps he’s there to meet his half-nephew!
