General Hospital’s Cameron Mathison Set To Host “Beat The Bridge” On Game Show Network

Actor Cameron Mathison has to be one of the busiest people in daytime drama. In addition to playing fan favorite, Drew Cain, on General Hospital, and signing a multi-year picture deal with Great American Family (GAF) late last year, it is being reported that Mathison is set to premiere a new game show sometime this summer.

General Hospital Spoilers – Cameron Mathison Plays Host On “Beat The Bridge”

During the Sony Pictures Television Advertisers Sales upfront in NYC, Game Show Network (GSN) announced that Cameron will be featured as the host of Beat The Bridge, which will mirror the Bridge of Lies from the BBC.

Produced by STV Studios, the game centers around a massive interactive bridge where teams of players try to cross by stepping on correct answers to the trivia questions asked.

Each step on the bridge places contestants closer to the money in the “team bank”. Bonus money is also collected for every crossing.

Still, a team can only get their money if they can “beat the bridge” (thus the name), by returning one of their players back across the bridge before the time clock expires.

GH Spoilers – More On GSN’s “Beat The Bridge” + Other New Game Shows

Ed Egan plays executive producer on Beat The Bridge, with Sabrina Hybel Snow as co-executive producer. Meanwhile, David Mortimer, Gary Chippington, and Josephine Brassey act as Eps for STV Studios.

The series will commence sometime this coming June, and Mathison’s Beat The Bridge will join a top-notch list of new game shows on the Game Show Network, including Brook Burns, hosting Tic Tac Dough and Jaleel White on the Flip Side.

Tic Tac Dough is an updated version of the original, created by Robert Noah. Two contests battle to place three marks in a row on a giant trivia board, all while trying to get away from a lurking dragon looking to steal stands and turns in their path.

Once three rounds are done, the winner moves on to fight the dragon in the grand prize round. Meanwhile, Flip Side is a new spin on an old game show concept where two teams test each other on how they think and feel about the same issue.
