Aurora Teagarden Mysteries Canceled Following Candace Cameron’s Exit From Hallmark

Following Candace Cameron Bure’s exit from the Hallmark Network as the actress has struck a large deal with the GAC Family, the Aurora Teagarden Mysteries has been canceled. Cameron Bure announced her decision to depart the network on Tuesday, April 20. The 46-year-old will both develop, produce and star in the GAC platform’s content.

Hallmark Channel News – Addresses Candace Cameron Bure’s Departure

In light of Cameron Bure’s exit, the well-known Hallmark Movies & Mysteries movie series will no longer develop new content. Following news that the actress had decided to leave Hallmark, the network issued a statement of appreciation.

“Crown Media has enjoyed over 10 years of collaboration with Candace,” a Hallmark spokesperson shared in a statement with Variety. “We respect her decision and thank her for her many contributions.”

Hallmark Channel News – The Aurora Teagarden Mysteries Included More Than A Dozen Movies

The Aurora Teagarden Mysteries first began in 2014 with Cameron Bure in the lead role of the famous librarian who became a member of the Real Murders Club. Her character found herself in a number of scary incidents as she worked to solve local murders in her small town of Lawrenceton, Washington.

Hallmark released roughly 18 movies centered on Teagarden’s adventures that were based on the books written by Charlaine Harris of True Blood fame. Actress Marilu Henner was often seen in the films as Aurora’s mother.

As of February 2022, Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Haunted by Murder was the last of the series as Hallmark does not have any additional content for the small-town sleuth in post-production.

It appears ultimately that the Fuller House star left Hallmark behind as GAC will allow her more input into the content she will appear in.

“GAC fits my brand perfectly; we share a vision of creating compelling wholesome content for an audience who wants to watch programming for and with the whole family,” she said in a statement on Tuesday.

Hallmark actresses Lacey Chabert and Alison Sweeney both showed their support for Cameron Bure, congratulating her on social media following the news of her new deal. Financial details involving Cameron Bure’s deal has not be revealed.

    I would like to see all of the actors given the opportunity to appear on both networks instead of being forced to make a choice of only one or the other. I have not been impressed with GAC family at all. Movies have not been great and trying to locate a schedule is difficult. The networks need to leave the petty stuff behind!
