Coming in the fall, some of Hallmark’s most beloved stars get together for the new, romantic movie, Notes of Autumn. Starring starring Ashley Williams, Luke Macfarlane, Marcus Rosner and Peter Porte, the movie airs as part of the network’s annual Fall Into Love programming event.

Notes of Autumn on Hallmark Channel

When two best friends do a home swap for the fall, lives are soon changed in a movie that tells two unique stories of romance and self-discovery. According to the official synopsis, Ellie (Ashley Williams), is a fun-loving, classically trained pianist living in the city, who gave up on her passion long ago.

While now working for a hotel, she always seems to get things wrong when musical inspiration strikes.

Meanwhile, her best friend, Leo (Luke Macfarlane) lives in the rustic outskirts of British Columbia. He is a famous author, suffering from writer’s block, who can’t seem to finish another installment in his highly popular book series.

Realizing they both need a change of scenery as the cooler days of autumn settle in, Leo and Ellie decide to swap places, only to find themselves totally lost in new surroundings.

Meanwhile, Ellie gets involved in helping Sam (Mark Rosner), Leo’s neighbor, put together a musical performance for a local fundraiser and comes to terms with why she quit music years ago.

Meanwhile, Leo strikes up a friendship with Ellie’s good friend, Matt (Peter Porte), and opens himself up to writing something different that truly inspires him.

Moreover, their newfound friendships turn into something far more meaningful. As both Leo and Ellie take part in the joys of the autumn season, they also discover their hearts belong somewhere very different than they ever thought possible.

Ashley Williams, who plays Ellie, is known for her roles in Sister Swap: A Hometown Holiday and Five More Minutes: Moments Like These. Meanwhile, Luke Macfarlane is known for many roles including Bros and Platonic.

As for Marcus Rosner, who plays Sam, he has starred in The Love Club and From Italy with Amore.

Peter Porte, who plays Matt, he is known for his roles in Days of Our Lives and A Christmas to Cherish. According to IMDb, the movie also stars Kelsey Lopes in an unlisted role.
