According to the official synopsis, in order for Vanessa Doyle (Erin Krakow) to publicize her new book, Tying the Knot – A Wedding Guide, she holds a contest offering one lucky couple an all-expenses paid wedding.

Meanwhile, the winning couple needs to marry quickly, as the groom (Drew Henderson) is being deployed, and the bride (Matreya Scarrwener) finishes grad school in just a few weeks. Meanwhile, the couple chose The Wedding Cottage for their nuptials, however, unbeknownst to Vanessa, the property has been closed for years and is in disrepair.

It turns out Evan Sutherland (Brendan Penny) is an artist, who inherited the cottage from his grandmother. Meanwhile, he has been living there while awaiting inspiration for his next masterpiece. It turns out, he has no intention of reopening the cottage for weddings, but Vanessa wants to give her clients their dream wedding and is determined to restore the run-down cottage.

With only five weeks to the couple’s big day, Vanessa must use all her charm to convince Evan to renovate and reopen the cottage, while building relationships with the residents of Stony Brook. Moreover, he must allow Vanessa to create a magical wedding for the bride and groom.

Meanwhile, as Vanessa and Evan grow closer, it becomes clear how much The Wedding Cottage means to the town and how much more it now means to both of them.

In The Wedding Cottage, Erin Krakow, who plays Vanessa, is well known for her role in When Calls the Heart, but also for many Hallmark movies, including It Was Always You, A Summer Romance and Marrying Father Christmas. For his part, Brendan Penny is best known for his role in Chesapeake Shores, but has also starred in Autumn in the Vineyard, A Dash of Love and Beverley Hills Wedding.
