Good Witch Spoilers – To End With season 7 On The Hallmark Channel

Randy Pope, SVP, programming and development for Hallmark Channel made the sad announcement. He said how Good Witch has “enchanted viewers for over a decade” with the seven-season series and eight original movies.

“We thank our leads whose chemistry and talent made Good Witch such a beloved and uniquely special viewing experience: Catherine Bell, who has brought the inimitable Cassie Nightingale to life for 13 years, and James Denton, who as Dr. Sam Radford has added so much charm and humor to the series. We also extend our gratitude and thanks to the entire cast and crew for their dedication and hard work,” he said while imparting the news.

According to a Hallmark Channel rep, there are currently no plans to make another Good Witch TV movie. However, the rep did add that “Catherine Bell, James Denton and Katherine Barrell, among others, are members of the Hallmark Channel family.” They are reportedly in discussions on future projects.

Besides Bell and Denton, Good Witch stars Catherine Disher, Sarah Power, Katherine Barrell, Kyle Evans, Scott Cavalheiro and Marc Bendavid. Bell’s character was first introduced in the 2008 original movie The Good Witch and she has played the lead of Cassie Nightingale for 13 years. Due to the popularity of Cassie and her adventures in Middleton, seven more movies were made and in 2015, The Good Witch was adapted as a primetime series.

Recently, Catherine and her co-star James shared their gratitude for Good Witch in statements that at the time did hint the series was truly ending. Bell posted on Instagram that “we will all miss The Good Witch and all the amazing characters and stories.” Meanwhile, Denton said the show “was special.”

Catherine also posted in Instagram on Saturday, urging fans not to cry because it’s over. She said they should rather “Smile because it happened,” quoting Dr. Seuss. Bell went on to say how grateful she is for the seven seasons and 13 years of movies and for being a part of Good Witch. She wrote that she worked with the “KINDEST and most talented, cast & crew, producers, network,” adding that it always felt like family.
