Hallmark Actress Alicia Witt Thanks Fans For Kindness In Wake Of Her Tragic Loss

Hallmark star Alicia Witt was devastated shortly before Christmas by the tragic passing of her parents, Robert and Diane Witt. During a welfare check, her parents were found dead in their Worcester, Massachusetts home. At the time, Alicia asked her fans and followers to let her deal with her grief in private. However, one month later, The Walking Dead actress opened up on Facebook and Instagram about her sad loss. Witt received such a heartwarming response from her followers, she has now made another post to Instagram to thank everyone for their “empathy” and “kindness.”

Alicia shared a beautiful video clip of waves breaking on a sandy shore to her Instagram, along with very moving words. Witt wrote in the caption, “If i could wrap my arms around all of you – i would.”

The Hallmark star thanked everyone who had reached out to her with “such love” since her last post. Witt wrote that their words, their empathy and their kindness had all been deeply felt and that she had read all their comments.

Alicia went on to especially thank those many followers who had shared their extremely personal stories with her. She said their situations were so similar to what she is experiencing and still going through, that they bring her to tears all over again.

Witt wrote that her “aching heart feels so grateful” to know that all of us are not alone in this specific pain. She added how the solace and unity and “some balm of deeper healing” could come from such a thing. Meanwhile, the actress wrote that she is sending everyone so much love, telling them she sees them and they are definitely not alone.

Hallmark actress Alicia Witt’s parents were discovered inside their home shortly before Christmas. The discovery came after Alicia asked a relative to perform a welfare check as she hadn’t heard from her parents. When the police arrived at Diane and Robert’s home, they found no apparent trauma and no signs of noxious gasses that could have led to their deaths.

It was later reported that the freezing temperatures, plus a malfunctioning furnace could have caused the tragic death of Witt’s parents. Reportedly, the temperatures at that time had bottomed out at 15 degrees and it was believed they passed from hypothermia.

It is truly difficult to imagine the pain that Alicia Witt is going through right now, a loss that was tragic and could possibly have been avoided.
