As previously reported, the movie sees Aurora moving back home to work on her thesis. Meanwhile, during the day she acts as a teaching assistant to a true-crime writer turned professor. However, at night, she works at a local diner where she and Arthur hang out and chat.
Moreover, Aurora and her best high school friend, Sally (Kayla Heller) spend much time together. In fact, she is even set to be Sally’s maid of honor at her upcoming wedding. However, after the groom is a no-show at the pre-wedding dinner, Aurora and Arthur start looking for him, but discovered a dead body instead. However, it is not the body of Sally’s fiancé, but questions arise as to whether he is responsible for the death.
