While the O’Brien family will return in season 6 this summer, this will be the last fans will see of Chesapeake Shores on Hallmark.

Hallmark Channel had already announced that season 6 of Chesapeake Shores is coming this summer. However, regrettably for fans, they have now announced that this will be the last 10 episodes of the popular series. We can be pretty sure that the upcoming season will have no cliffhangers. However, hopefully, fans will be given closure as the final episode airs.

The O’Brien family is set to return to Chesapeake Shores this summer for a 10-episode final season. As fans know, the series stars Meghan Ory as Abby O’Brien, Treat Williams as Mick O’Brien, Emilie Ullerup as Bree O’Brien and Laci J. Mailey as Jess O’Brien. Meanwhile, Brendan Penny is back as Kevin O’Brien and Andrew Francis as Connor O’Brien. Naturally, Robert Buckley will be back as Evan Kincaid and Greyston Holt as Jay on the Hallmark Channel show.

As noted by People, Laurie Ferneau, SVP Programming Series, made a statement about the final season. “With a top-notch ensemble cast and creative team, Chesapeake Shores has shared stories that are relatable, poignant and unforgettable.”

She closed her statement, saying, “We look forward to honoring the journey viewers have been on with the O’Briens with one final, special season.”

The series Chesapeake Shores is based on the New York Times bestselling books of Sherryl Woods. Meanwhile, the show explores the lives and loves of four generations of the O’Brien family. Fans will recall that season 5 closed with Connor suffering a heart attack. However, as Francis is among the cast for the new season, it looks like he’ll survive.

Meanwhile, fans are concerned that Mick might be taking too many painkillers. On top of this, Abby is choosing between Evan and Jay. Fans will remember how she called to say, “I have been thinking about you and I think maybe we should give this a try.” However, fans will, at least, find out for sure in the upcoming season.
