Hallmark Channel premieres Holiday Date tonight. In an on-location video clip, actors Brittany Bristow and Matt Cohen discussed the movie. Find out what viewers can expect from the characters and storyline.

Holiday Date: Details About the Plot

The Hallmark holiday movie is about a woman named Brooke Miller (Brittany Bristow). She gets disappointing news from her boyfriend right before Christmas. He tells her that it is too soon to meet her family. Not wanting to go home to her family and announce there is no “Mr. Christmas,” she comes up with an idea.

Brooke gets the help of an actor, Joel Parker (Matt Cohen) will pretend to be Brooke’s boyfriend. However, the young woman panics when she discovers that Joel is Jewish. As they try to pull the scheme off, some truths are exposed. This leads to Brooke’s family and Joel learning about each other’s holiday traditions. What they don’t expect, though, is the two actually having feelings for one another.

Bristow described Brooke as a woman who doesn’t have the best luck in love. The actress teases that Joel and Brooke are trying to trick her family, but it’s not going as expected. It seems the “Mr. Christmas” imposter can’t even put up a Christmas tree straight. Eventually, Brooke’s family learns that the young man is actually Jewish, so they celebrate the two holidays together.

While Joel is pretending to be Brooke’s boyfriend, Ethan, one person thinks he looks familiar. It is because Joel’s face is plastered all over television due to him being in a commercial. When the pair start to get a lot of questions, they will have some serious explaining to do.

Hallmark Channel News: Countdown to Christmas

The actress is excited about Holiday Date and calls it a sweet story. She also commented on the movie being part of the 10th annual Countdown to Christmas. She thinks it’s a pretty special event and is thankful to be a part of it.
