Daniel Lissing has left the Hallmark Channel series, When Calls the Heart, which felt like a family to him. Obviously, fans are upset that he has left the show. However, Daniel doesn’t regret leaving, as there have been many changes in his personal life. However, he would like to return in a cameo role, as well as star in a movie with Erin Krakow.
Daniel Lissing to have a cameo role in When Calls the Heart?
Reportedly, the cast of When Calls the Heart is missing Daniel Lissing and would love to have him back as a guest star on the series. As it happens, Daniel rather likes the idea himself. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Lissing admitted he would definitely be open to returning to Hope Valley in a cameo role.
Daniel said he does miss his fellow cast-mates and their comradery. However, he also said he misses his life in Vancouver. Lissing feels there was a “serious chemistry” between Jack and Elizabeth. He admits he does understand why their fans are missing seeing them together. However, he was quick to point out that Elizabeth has two other great guys in her life that she could end up with. Lissing believes either man would be great for Elizabeth and for the series.
How could Jack Thornton return to Hope Valley?
Daniel admitted he would love to return for a cameo role on When Calls the Heart and that he was very open to the idea. In fact, he was open to anything that involved the Hallmark Channel. While the cast, and he himself, would love him in a guest starring role, Daniel was asked how could he make the return. A suggestion was made that Nathan could return to Elizabeth in a dream, while she is trying to decide which man to choose.

A Christmas movie with Erin Krakow
Daniel Lissing would also love to star in a Christmas movie with Erin Krakow. In fact, he said that around two or three years ago, he had made a “big proposal” to Hallmark. This related to a modern-day Christmas movie with Erin.
However, Hallmark responded to say it was too soon after Jack’s tragic death on When Calls the Heart. However, Daniel is wondering whether the timing is right now? Whatever happens, Lissing said he would “love” to work on a film with Erin again. He was open to a movie, music or TV project with her. However, he did add that this would only be if Erin was OK about the idea. He said he was totally open to it and hoped that she would be too.
Since then the When Calls the Heart Facebook Live event, which Daniel hopefully watched, should keep him assured that Erin and the rest of the crew would love him to come back onto the set again.
