Hallmark Channel News: Heather Hemmens Signs Multi-Picture Deal

Heather Hemmens has starred in a couple of Hallmark movies before. However, the Hellcats alum has now signed a multi-picture original film deal with Hallmark Channel’s parent company, Crown Media Family Networks.

Fans know Heather Hemmens well from her time in The CW’s Roswell, New Mexico, where she stars as series regular character Maria Deluca. She also went on to direct an episode of the sci-fi series during season 3.

Heather also recently starred in Jamie Foxx’s series Dad Stop Embarrassing Me! along with the series If Loving You Is Wrong on OWN. Meanwhile, she also had a recurring role in the popular series Yellowstone opposite Kevin Costner.

Previously, Hemmens has also played a lead character on The CW’s series Hellcats and has enjoyed a recurring role in the hit ABC series Grey’s Anatomy. Meanwhile, the popular actress more recently appeared in Christmas in My Heart on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.

Hallmark Channel News – Heather Hemmens Signs Multi-Picture Deal With Crown Media Family Networks

As reported by Deadline, Heather Hemmens has now signed a multi-picture deal to star in a number of original films exclusively for Hallmark’s parent company, Crown Media Family Networks. Needless to say, there is excitement on both sides of the deal.

Lisa Hamilton Daly, Executive Vice President of Programming for Crown Media said how excited they are to sign the multi-picture deal with Hemmens.

“Heather is such a pro at what she does, making every movie she works on unique and special. We are lucky to have her on board, starring in multiple movies for us,” Daly added.

Meanwhile, Hemmens took to Instagram to share the good news with her followers on International Women’s Day. Sharing a screenshot of Deadline’s article, Heather captioned her post: “Manifestation update!”

She continued, “As a black girl from rural Maine, an offer to spread joy, love and fun with the @hallmarkchannel is a dream come true! And on #internationalwomensday! I’m overcome with gratitude. Thank you to the wonderful team at #Hallmark for this very official welcome to the family. I am honored!”

Deadline also quotes Heather as saying in a statement: “I am thrilled to continue to work with Crown Media.”

“Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries are the go-to networks for feel-good entertainment, and I feel very lucky to be a part of that,” Hemmens added.
