Yellowstone Universe Is Growing With Second Spinoff, ‘1932’

Yellowstone has been a hit since the first season aired in 2018. That fact can’t be questioned as there has already been a prequel, 1883, and there is soon to be a spinoff, 6666. So, it should not be a surprise to Yellowstone fans that there is now going to be another prequel, 1932.

Yellowstone was set in modern times with the Dutton family carrying with them a rich history and a dusty and violent past. So, fans were excited when the prequel 1883 was released to fill in the blanks.

Yellowstone Spoilers – Dutton Family Navigates The Great Depression And Prohibition In ‘1932’

According to Esquire Magazine, the Paramount+ streamer announced Tuesday, February 15, that Sheridan and company would not only continue with a fifth season of Yellowstone, a second season of 1883, and new spinoff 6666, but a new prequel series, 1932, would be arriving in the future.

The release date for the new series has not yet been announced but will follow yet another generation of the Dutton family as they struggle through the Great Depression and prohibition. So far, very little else has been revealed about the show but viewers should have a fun time imagining what excitement shall come.

Yellowstone Spoilers – Taylor Sheridan’s Universe is a Bit Bigger than ‘Yellowstone’ and it’s Expanding

Per Esquire, Chris McCarthy, president and CEO of ViacomCBS Media Networks said in the announcement, “While most shows franchise near the end of their run, we seized the opportunity to franchise in real-time, to drive record growth for both streaming and linear properties, proving the power of ViacomCBS’ differentiated model.”

Though scant information is given about the exciting new edition, the series will be the fourth planet in Taylor Sheridan’s growing Yellowstone universe. Aside from the hugely successful handful of Yellowstone series, Sheridan is also working on other successful shows such as Tulsa King with Sylvester Stallone as legendary Italian mobster Sal and Mayor of Kingstown starring Jeremy Renner.

Yellowstone Spoilers – Expect Some Great New Talent

Though there have been no casting announcements for the upcoming series, if the Yellowstone Universe continues to progress as it has, we can expect some big named actors to join the flock for 1932. Given the time period, we can count on someone remarkable to play the adult version of Audie Rick, who plays John Dutton Sr as a child in 1883.
