When Calls The Heart spoilers and updates reveal fan-favorite couple Pascale Hutton (Rosemary LeVeaux-Coulter) and Kavan Smith (Lee Coulter) will star in an upcoming Hallmark movie titled “You Had Me at Aloha.”
From Hope Valley to the bright beaches of Hawaii, Pascale and Kavan will melt hearties’ hearts in the film they developed themselves. It is scheduled to premiere on Saturday, June 5 at 9 p.m. ET/PT as part of Hallmark’s Summer Nights, an annual programming event on Hallmark’s channel.
Hallmark Channel News – Wearing Different Hats
Hallmark’s On Location video revealed both stars wanted to play someone opposite from their “When Calls The Heart” characters. Pascale wanted to be a travel blogger when the duo first started planning for the movie while Kavan wanted to be boisterous.
Hutton portrays Paige, a television host enlisted to fill in the original host who resigns from the popular travel show for its next season scheduled in Hawaii. Little did she know, the network has already chosen her co-host named Ben (Smith) who is known for pushing limits and living his life to the extreme.
What makes this movie different from all their many movies together is that this is a romantic comedy. The pair will have more funny moments clashing against different perspectives on how the show should be produced. Paige follows everything in the script while Ben is spontaneous. While both figure out how things should work amidst differences, they realize they need each other to advance their careers and that they complement each other on and off the screen.
The on-screen couple teases on seeing more beaches, jungles, and waterfalls in their location set in Hawaii. As Pascale puts it, this movie “captures the exploration of travel.” The trailer hints at plenty of love, adventure, and fun throughout the heartwarming Hawaiian romance story.
Hallmarks Channel Updates – Keep The Ball Rolling
Fans last saw the couple one the “When Calls the Heart” season 8 finale on May 9, 2021. They got married in season 3 and since then fans have been anticipating for the Coulters to expand their family. While many have thought of finally seeing a child in the latest season, the couple pursued their individual careers. Lee announced his candidacy for mayor while Rosemary started the town’s newspaper.
In an interview with ET, Smith teased: “It’s been a constant conversation. We haven’t dropped the ball… We’re being tenacious and we’re trying to make that happen.”
He further explained the technical challenges they faced in filming season 8 in the middle of the global pandemic. Given the situation, it is difficult to work with little ones, but he added that “creatively speaking, I don’t think it’s ever been an impediment.”
Hinting on the show’s season 9, he continued: “I think that everybody does want this to happen. It’s just a matter of how and when, and now that triangle is out of the way and it’s taken some of the weight out of that, maybe this is a good logical place to go next.”
