Hallmark’ Spoilers – Ryan Reynolds’ funny Christmas In July Ad
Christmas in July has already taken off with a great selection of annual holiday-themed movies. It seems popular actor Ryan Reynolds is himself a big fan of the movie marathon, so he is helping the Hallmark Channel to bring Christmas to its viewers early this year.
Reynolds has teamed up with the Hallmark Channel Christmas in July film programming to promote his own movie. The comedy film, Free Guy, will be debuting in theaters on August 13.

People has released a clip where Ryan can be seen, saying that he “needs” the holiday movie programming. In fact, he describes the films as like being “in a little snow globe.” However, not to be outdone, he then goes on to promote his new movie, Free Guy in his hilarious ad.
About Free Guy
The movie, Free Guy, is a comedy, following the life of Guy (Reynolds), who works as a bank teller in Free City. Guy has everything he could possibly want, except for one vital thing – love. However, he finds out a shocking truth when he falls head-over-heels for the mysterious Milly (Jodie Comer). This is when she reveals a seemingly impossible truth to the trusty bachelor.
Hallmark Spoilers – Free City Is A Video Game
In the preview, included below, she tells Guy she has “something really important” to tell him. She explains that Free City is only a video game and is not real life. Even worse, Milly tells him that in two days, the game is going to be shut down. We can tell from the trailer that it is Reynolds’ character that has led to the game being scrapped, as he is just too nice for the action program. When Guy hears the game is going to be shut down, he asks, “What if we can save it?”
The trailer also reveals plenty of epic car chases and explosions throughout Free City and ends with all the residents of the town joining up in an effort to save their home.
The film is directed by Shawn Levy (Night at the Museum) and also stars Joe Keery (Stranger Things), Taika Waititi, and Lil Rel Howery. The film debuts in theaters on August 13 and readers can enjoy the trailer included below. They can also view Ryan’s hilarious ad on People’s website.
Meanwhile, the Christmas in July event continues through the remainder of July with plenty of festive entertainment for the whole family.
