Hallmark’s Good Witch Shot 2 Different Season 7 Endings

Hallmark’s Good WitchFans were shocked and heartbroken when the Hallmark Channel series Good Witch was canceled. The show had run for seven seasons and several movies and had a huge fan following. While the long-running series was canceled in July 2021, one person wasn’t surprised at all at the cancelation.

Hallmark Channel – One Person Knew That Good Witch Was Coming To An End On Hallmark

Fans will know Grey House, Cassie Nightingale’s home and B&B from the show The Good Witch. That beautiful 1847 house is owned by a lady named Liz Heersink. Liz recently opened up to the Hamilton Spectator about her distinctive house, known as Foxbar in real life, starring in the TV series.

While fans were shocked at the cancellation, it turns out Heersink suspected the series was coming to an end. As she was close to production, she noted a number of clues dropped while filming season 7.

Hallmark Channel – Two Endings To Good Witch

Heersink noted that she had a feeling the series was coming to an end when the cast and crew arrived to film scenes for season 7. She said she was told they were shooting two endings. One was a cliffhanger ending, while the other was a series finale. At that time, she thought to herself, “OK, that’s the end of the show.”

No doubt fans would have been happier with a cliffhanger ending to season 7 of Good Witch, but as we know, that didn’t happen. However, the popular series did have a good, 13-year run on Hallmark Channel. The first of the seven Good Witch movies premiered in 2008, while the TV show started in 2014.

Hallmark Channel – Good Witch Fans Visit Grey House

Nowadays, Good Witch fans make pilgrimages to see Grey House for themselves. The house is located in Dundas, Ontario, and fans reportedly come from all over the world. According to Heersink, there are new visitors arriving every few weeks.

“These are people who just love that show,” Liz said. “They just get excited to see the house.”

Heersink added that she lets fans come in and take pictures on the steps, adding, “They were so excited to stand on the stairway.”

It turns out that initially, Good Witch episodes were filmed inside Heersink’s house. However, later production moved to a Toronto studio for interior shots, where they constructed a replica of parts of the house. However, throughout the show continued to use the house for exterior shots.
