Jen Lilley Defends Move To GAC After Former Hallmark Fan Said They Won’t Watch

Hallmark Channel has been the best place to watch favorite actors appearing in family-friendly and romantic movies and series. This is, of course, especially so during the Christmas holidays. However, now GAC Family and Network are streaming the same genre, a number of actors have left Hallmark to make a move elsewhere. Jen Lilley is the latest actor to leave Hallmark after she signed a deal with GAC. Many fans are happy for Jen, but one particularly had an issue with her career move, saying they won’t be watching her anymore.

After one Hallmark fan slammed Lilley for her move of networks, Jen Lilley took to social media to defend her decision. She has been a staple with Hallmark Channel for a number of years, starring in a number of movies since 2017. So far, it seems her work with GAC will be similar to that she has done for Hallmark Channel in the past.

When Lilley took to Instagram to announce the news, many fans congratulated her wholeheartedly, even those who weren’t able to watch GAC Family. However, others called GAC Family out as being “hate-filled, judging and bigoted.” The former Days of our Lives star responded, detailing her experience with the network.

In her response to the comment, Jen wrote, “This comment couldn’t be further from the truth. GAC family is completely loving, diverse, and does so much behind the scenes for the kingdom of God that I get compelled as a Christian to support them whole heartedly. I hope you’re not believing the rumors you hear that have an agenda, but I can tell you personally, I know this channel is full of genuine love, rooted in truth, and will do so much for so many.”

Despite her response, another commenter responded, bringing up similar issues and noting their lack of access to GAC Family. Again Lilley was quick to respond.

“It’s new and so good already! And they do SO much to give back behind the scenes. I love them! GAC family is on so many platforms and most cable too. I use FrndlyTV because I don’t have cable and I love saving money,” she wrote.

Despite the negative feedback, it seems Jen is not standing down when it comes to criticism that she or the network receives. Fans will remember that previously Danica McKellar made a similar move by signing a contract with GAC, so it looks like the network is continuing to expand its list of talented actors.

However, it isn’t as if all Hallmark Channel’s regular talent is jumping ship, as Lacey Chabert and Candace Cameron Bure are both unlikely to make the move. However, it will be interesting to see if these two similar networks continue to produce quality TV for fans.
