Hallmark Channel Spoilers – Five More Minutes On Hallmark Movies & Mysteries

Five More Minutes is a new original movie, forming part of the Miracles of Christmas programming event on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries. According to the official synopsis, Christmas at the Candy Cane Confectionary has been bringing joy and delicacies to the community for more than 50 years.

However, when Jerry (Eric Keenleyside), the owner, suddenly passes away, his granddaughter Clara (DeLoach) and her mother Bonnie (Sherry Miller) are faced with their first Christmas without him. It is always tragic to lose a grandparent, especially at this festive time of year. Clara wishes for five more minutes with the grandfather who has always helped her through the tough times.

Clara’s wish is answered in unexpected ways when a journal from her grandfather’s past turns up in the store. On top of this, a young man named Jay (Alexander Jones) answers a help-wanted poster at Candy Cane Confectionary. Through her grandfather’s journal, Clara discovers his first great love from the past, as she faces her feelings about her own first love in the present day with Logan (Haydn-Jones). Meanwhile, Bonnie may have the chance to love again.

Nikki DeLoach, who plays Clara, has been seen in the series North Shore and Windfall. She also made guest appearances in Grounded for Life, Walker: Texas Ranger, Cold Case and CSI: NY. DeLoach also played Lacey Hamilton, the mother of the main character Jenna Hamilton in MTV’s Awkward. She has since starred in a number of Hallmark movies.

Meanwhile, David Haydn-Jones, who plays Logan, famously starred in Supernatural. He previously appeared in Melrose Place and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. His most recent Hallmark movie is My Christmas Dream, where he plays opposite Danica McKellar.

Eric Keenleyside, who plays Jerry, starred in Street Justice, Hawkeye, Madison, Highlander: The Series and Titanic in the 1990s. In 2000, he appeared in one episode of The King of Queens and in 2006, starred in the TV movie, Murder on Pleasant Drive. Keenleyside has also starred in the ABC series Traveler and in the series Hellcats. He also played a recurring role as Maurice, father of Belle, in the popular fantasy show Once Upon a Time.

Sherry Miller, who plays Bonnie in Five More Minutes, is known for her appearance in the CTV drama E.N.G. as well as the Showtime drama Queer as Folk. She also starred in the teen drama The Best Years and in the miniseries Kingdom Hospital.
