According to the official synopsis, past and present Christmas Eves across the decades bring a connection between three families who share a common thread. In one, a young couple John and Lizzie (John Brotherton and Erin Cahill) prepare to welcome their first child. As they settle into their new home on Christmas Eve, a well-meaning family unexpectedly descends on them.

Meanwhile, empty nester Regina (Catherine Bell) and her fiancé, Nelson (James Denton) are ready to start a new chapter together. However, Regina’s grown children want to cling to the past and try to sway her to do the same.

Moreover, another couple, Mike and Zain (Jonathan Bennett) and (Vincent Rodriguez III) are thrilled as they unexpectedly get the opportunity to expand their family on Christmas Eve. This leads them to scramble to get the house ready while in the throes of an almost complete kitchen remodel.
