When can we expect season 9 to appear?

While it is exciting for fans to see the ongoing prep for season 9 of “When Calls the Heart,” they wonder how long they still have to wait for the new season to drop. The Hallmark Channel series is set to return at some time in 2022. Typically, new episodes drop in February, so hopefully this will be the case with season 9, although this hasn’t yet been confirmed.

There has also been talk of a possible “When Calls the Heart” Christmas special for 2021. Fans will remember that the holiday episode was canceled last year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, Hallmark has also yet to confirm whether it will air the special this year.

Plenty Of Stories To Come On ‘WCTH’ season 9

Whatever happens, executive producer and co-creator Brian Bird has assured fans that they will have plenty to look forward to in season 9. In a recent appearance on Dr. Steve Green’s Greenelines podcast, Bird said they are raring to go. He said, “We’re excited. We’ve got lots of great stories to tell. We’ve set up lots of mysteries in season 8 that still need to be answered.”

Bird did share that in the new season, Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) and Lucas (Chris McNally) will officially launch their courtship. He said fans will also get to see what happens next for Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry), Elizabeth’s rejected suitor.

Bird said season 9 will explore “how everything resolves with Mountie Nathan, where he goes.” He said they have plenty of great storylines for the character. Despite his rejection, he won’t be leaving town and there is plenty left for him to do.

Wish this series could start in September & run till May. Enjoy so much & it’s a good clean show, unlike most TV today.

When Calls The Heart should run September-May, plus, the wait in between seasons is agonizing! Truly cannot get enough of this show and these characters. Thanks for bringing us something the entire family can enjoy together.

Love the show! Only wish Elizabeth and Nathan would end up together. There is just something about Lucas that seems off m.

I was not happy with Elizabeth falling for Lucas. He has a dark side that may end up hurting Elizabeth in the end.

I love that Lucas & Elizabeth are together.

Hope you pair Nathan with Fiona and rather quickly as adventurers and friends that find a spark then romance over this season,Alley would take to her better than Faith as they have the spirit.

Probably won't watch it anymore. I wanted Elizabeth to be with Nathan.

wonder what Mountie Jack would think of Elizabeth marrying a professional gambler and either raising Little Jack over a saloon or step-dad always being at the saloon and not at home with him and his Mom. After all he has to run his business.

When Calls The Heart series way too short, it's family oriented so needs to be extended

    How about a Christmas show?

I wish it would be a Sept- May season. Such a great show for families and people who are tired of the violence, sexuality, and profanity. Can’t wait for the new season. Kudos to all the actors in this show and the writers of the story line. Thanks to Hallmark for a great Channel of TV shows.

I think their is more off about Nathan, he keeps too many secrets from everyone ~ his father, his brother in law, his being at Ft Clay the same time as Jack, I still think there is more between him and Jack that he isnt saying …. And …. why is he keeping everything from Bill? If it had not been for Allie, Elizabeth wouldnt even know about him being at Ft Clay. Three years!!! Why so long!!! Sneaky, Secrets, there is more to come on him!!
