The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that in Los Angeles Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) has righted her own life. She’s moved past the start of what was a pain-killer addiction and is healthy. But her brother certainly isn’t.

John Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) helped Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) acknowledge her problem, agree to a recovery program, and successfully complete it. Now, he’s now offering important insight into her brother.

Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson), unlike Steffy, hasn’t confronted his problems but has tried to will them away. As viewers are seeing, that hasn’t worked.

Viewer’s interest was drawn to the near-perfect likeness of Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) that Thomas took home in a cardboard box. The image of the Hope mannequin was somewhat humorous at first. But fans quickly saw that Thomas is taking this matter very seriously.

He’s been overcome by the perceived voice of Hope projecting through the doll. The alternative reality in which he’s living then proved out as Thomas mouthing the messages he thinks he’s hearing fake Hope say.

 John Finnegan Knows Something Is Off

Finn recognized that Thomas didn’t look healthy, or offer rational thoughts when he saw him at Forrester Creations’ main office. Both guys were having a conversation when viewers began hearing Noelle’s recorded voice-over.

The audience saw a series of flashbacks while Finn was trying to talk to Thomas. But then something happened which advanced this arc.

Finn heard Thomas saying what the viewers had only heard via Noelle’s voice. That meant Atkinson’s character has, from the start, or now is voicing Hope’s words out loud. The sounds in his head are further evidence of the deep psychological issues that Thomas has repressed, rather than addressed.

Steffy Forrester Must Communicate With Family

Taylor Hayes’ (Hunter Tylo) absence has been conspicuous, which is putting it mildly. But that specific plot point has allowed Thomas’ storyline to evolve, which must be the reason why she’s nowhere to be found.

So, Steffy must take the concerns Finn relayed to her and speak to Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye). She was surely unnerved by what Novlan’s character said and must take action.

Steffy is obviously influenced by Finn and respects his take. Here’s hoping some effective action happens before Thomas commits another regrettable act, as he has on more than one occasion in the past.
