Married at First Sight Spoilers: First Lesbian Couple Struggling Before Show Starts

Married at First Sight Spoilers: First Lesbian Couple Struggling Before Show StartsTash Herz and Amanda Micallef are set to marry later this month, but are already feuding before the event.

Tash Herz and Amanda Micallef are the first lesbian couple to feature on Married at First Sight. Fans have been looking forward to some time to the pair getting married later in February. However, they have already had a clash of lifestyles that could interfere with their relationship.

Lifestyle clash between Tash and Amanda

Speaking to NW Magazine on Monday, Tash, 31 explained their lifestyle differences. She said they are “so incompatible,” with completely different values in life. Tash, who works as a bartender, said Amanda’s family is European and is “traditional and old-fashioned.”

On her side, Tash says she is “quite open-minded and progressive with gender.” She also said they both have a different sense of humour. For her part, Herz says she is “quirky and edgy” and that things she says tend to lead to Amanda not knowing what to do with her. She said Amanda can also “very controlling” at times. Evidence appears to point to the lesbian couple had split after the first filming session.

Amanda’s side of the relationship

On Amanda’s part, she said Tash was a “completely different person” after the cameras stopped running. Referring to Tash as an “egotistical lesbian,” another report on TV Week showed Amanda, 34, had been forced to stay away from her family as the result of Married at First Sight. While she didn’t give much detail, Amanda said that since the filming of the show ended, a number of incidents have made her choose to “walk away” from her immediate family.

She is upset that her father has refused to support her in her life but did admit he was worried about losing his job over her TV notoriety. However, she feels a father should support his daughter “no matter what,” saying she was insulted. She went on to say the whole Married at First Sight thing is the “beginning of the end” to what she needs to cut out of her life.

While it seems like this couple won’t make it on the show, Amanda did seem optimistic about things prior to the filming in September. A trailer of the show revealed her bursting into tears while speaking about marriage equality. As she cried, she said her sister and her friends are all married and the experience of being able to marry and find out what it feels like is a good thing.

Fans can look forward to the return of Married at First Sight on Channel Nine on Monday at 7:30 pm.
