“Black Adam” movie finally happening! will start. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been literally waiting years to work on the new movie. He had signed to play the role of the comic character seven years back, in 2014, after “Man Of Steel” was released. Well, news of when the filming and production of the much-awaited film will commence is finally here. It’s to start in exactly three weeks!
Black Adam News – April Shooting Date Confirmed By “The Rock” Himself
The Hollywood star confirmed that shooting will commence in April in an Instagram video. In the video, “The Rock” is seen sipping on a bottle of Teremana while reading from the movie script. He even shared the opening line of the script which is taken from lyrics of the well-known song by Johnny Cash, “The Man In Black”. The script was written by Adam Sztykiel, with further modifications by Sohrab Noshirvani and Rory Haines.
The 48-year-old former wrestler made it known to movie fans that shooting will commence in three weeks, which caused a lot of buzz on Instagram.
The DC film, Black Adam introduces fans to the controversial personality of the central character, who switches between being a hero and a villain. Apart from Black Adam, the Justice Society of America will also be brought to the fore. The society is made up of other DC comic characters of Cyclone, Hawkman, Doctor Fate, and Atom Smasher.
The film is to be directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, who had earlier worked with Dwayne in the upcoming Disney film, Jungle Cruise.
Black Adam – The Plan For DC Films Extended Universe
The ” Black Adam” film project has gone through a lot of twists and upheavals, as the management of FC Universe could not agree on the specifics with the production crew. Well, now that it has finally been settled, fans can eagerly anticipate seeing “The Rock” portray Black Adam, alongside Zachary Lewis in a reprisal of his role as Shazam, and Henry Cavill as the man of steel, Superman. Black Adam is among the list of films to be part of the planned DC Extended Universe franchise.

The DC Extended Universe will thrill fans with sequels to other DC movies like Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and some changes in Suicide Squad, as well as a new Superman film, written by Coates Te-Nihisi.
The shooting of Black Adam was slated to have begun last year, with a release date set for the 22nd of December this year, but it was all shifted because of the coronavirus pandemic. There is no set date for its release as of now.
After “Justice League” was released, DC Films would have been looking forward to building on their franchise, and it looks like “The Rock” is about to comfortably make himself part of the DC World. We can’t wait for the release of Black Adam sometime soon.
