Predator: Badlands Teaser Trailer Arrives Via IMAX, See Inside

Predator: Badlands joins a list of what looks like some good screentime in 2025. This week, a teaser trailer arrived for the science fiction action film. Read on to find out more and watch the trailer further down in this article. 

The Teaser Trailer Is Enticing

Dan Trachtenberg’s Prey, which was a prequel, was hailed as brilliant by viewers. However, the new movie in the franchise brings a young Predator, Dek, and viewers get to find out more about it. From the trailer, it seems that the action goes down in a forbidding place.

Elle Fanning, who plays the role of Thia, a sidekick to the Predator (Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi), heads off on a mission. And it seems almost impossible. As the Weyland-Yutani android says, “They’re hunting something that can’t be killed.” 

The seventh installment in the Predator saga brings a new perspective, but it doesn’t seem to be a place where you’d like to be. And, the fact that Predator: Badlands presents the main character as rather more humanoid, it seems people can relate to it. 

Reactions To The Teaser

Those who watched the teaser trailer for the movie that premieres in theaters on November 7, 2025, seemed impressed with the synopsis. That is: “[Predator’s] been exiled from his clan and embarks on a treacherous journey.”  And there’s a “world of hurt” awaiting them. 

One of the viewers said, “The Predator is the main character now, that’s awesome.”

Plenty of others agreed. Here are a few more reactions:

• Finally a movie centred around the predator roaming the galaxy and hunting trophies.
• We’re all about predator and alien films, keep them coming.
• With Prey, Killer of Killers and now Badlands I love how the Predator franchise has been doing such unique stuff lately.
• Finally, a trailer that gives you a taste without explaining the entire plot. This is exactly what trailers should be, give a big of backstory and set the tone.

What Else Is Known About The Movie?

The new movie’s teaser trailer showed a huge and powerful creature that both Dek and Thia confront. That’s the something that can’t be killed. 

Predator: Badlands seems to take a different angle by centering on a protagonist, and it definitely seems to head towards more integration with the Alien mythology. Possibly, it might eventually end up as a future Alien vs. Predator crossover.

The movie seems quite specific and even developed a language of its own that Dek had to learn to speak. Much of the movie was filmed in New Zealand.
