Neighbours fans have been squirming for weeks as they’ve watched Elly (Jodi Anasta) lie and cheat her way through her marriage with Mark (Scott McGregor). But the truth is finally out.
After some wise words from Finn, Elly finally decides to come clean to Mark, telling him that the baby she is carrying isn’t actually his. Hearing the extreme lies Elly told to cover up her sordid secret sickens Mark, who furiously dumps her for a second time, revealing that the only reason he took her back in the first place is because he thought she was carrying his child.

But after everything, is there still a chance for them? Elly’s sister Bea likes to think so, encouraging Mark to talk to Elly for the sake of the baby. His brother-in-law David Tanaka also agrees, though this opinion couldn’t be further from what his husband Aaron thinks.
After considering all advice, Mark heads out for a chat with Elly but is appalled when he finds her talking to Shaun Watkins, the real father of the baby. Shaun sees this as his chance to apologise for everything – after all, he didn’t even know who Elly was when they slept together, let alone that she was married. But when Shaun’s brother Finn lets slip that he knew the baby secret before Mark did everything kicks off and the three begin to fight right in the middle of Ramsay Street.

Wanting to save her unborn baby from any stress she signs the papers and returns them to Mark.
