Jenelle Evans: Jace Finds Shelter With His Biological Dad

Former Teen Mom star, Jenelle Evans, sent her oldest son, Jace, 16, to live with his biological father, Andrew Lewis, in Florida. Read on to find out what’s going on with the MTV alums.

Getting Jace Out Of The Vegas Home

The Sun US reported that a source close to Jenelle said, “Jenelle put Jace on a plane on Friday and he has been with Andrew since.” The move comes after Jace experienced recent difficulties living with his mom.

The move might not be permanent, but time will tell. It’s a bit confusing, though, as there are claims that while the visit coincides with the summer break, Andrew Lewis allegedly began looking at potential educational options for his son. Apparently, though Lewis hasn’t been very involved in Jace’s life, the duo talked on the phone.

The Unsettling Life Of The Teen

MTV fans feel dreadfully sorry for Jace, who was raised by his grandmother, Barbara. However, Jenelle Evans fought for custody, and Barbara relinquished the boy to his biological mom in 2023. He moved to “The Land” and stayed with Jenelle in North Carolina.

Jace ran away from their North Carolina home multiple times, and later, he alleged that Jenelle’s husband, David Eason, assaulted him. Subsequently, Jenelle split from Eason and relocated with Jace, Kaiser, and Ensley to Las Vegas.

Behavioral Problems

According to Jenelle, her oldest son trashed the house multiple times. The latest incident reportedly occurred after she announced her divorce party planned for June, leading Jace to run away from her home.

Naturally, MTV fans hope the move to Florida will be successful and potentially shield Jace from reality TV exposure, especially given rumors of Jenelle Evans’ possible return to Teen Mom: The Next Chapter. Fewer people approve of kids being exposed on TV, especially since the death of TLC star Garrison Brown.

Toxic Environments 

Fans also appreciate that with Jace Evans staying with Andrew Lewis, it might spare him the toxic fights Jenelle has with her boyfriends. Her recent breakup with her ex, August Keen, is an example. 911 calls happened more than once, and the couple ended up bickering over who was at fault.

Many fans claim that the mom of three will never grow up because she seems unable to exist without a man in her life. Meanwhile, others accuse her of always putting herself before her children. And others worry that it might be too late to save Jace from going wild, as he seems to be desperately unhappy.
