He’s only been back on Neighbours for a matter of days, but Finn Kelly has already worked out the truth about Elly’s baby secret.
After high school student Dean Mahoney starts causing major trouble for Elly and both work and home, Finn confronts Elly, demanding the truth.
We reported last week that Dean found out that Mark isn’t the father of Elly’s baby after snooping through his mother’s medical records, who is Elly’s antenatal doctor. After failing to fulfil his first two demands, he steals a picture of Elly’s seven-week ultrasound, threatening to show it to Mark.
Things get even worse for Elly – at her own making – when Leo refuses to help her deal with the Dean situation. He doesn’t agree with anything that she’s done and urges for her to be honest with Mark for everyone’s sake, including the baby.

But it’s not long before Finn’s suspicions begin to grow. He notices that her relationship with Shaun is tense, and the two can often be seen in awkward conversation. He also notices her stressed interactions with Dean, which seem like more than a bad teacher-student relationship.

For this reason, Finn does some digging and somehow manages to get hold of the ultrasound that Dean stole from Elly’s records. When he begins putting the pieces together, looking at the ultrasound date and remembering Elly’s conversations with Shaun, Finn works out exactly what is going on.
