Neighbours Spoilers: Gary Scrambles With Last Minute Wedding Plans As Kyle’s Feelings For Amy Are Exposed

Neighbours’ Gary Canning (Damien Richardson) decides to bring forward his wedding date next week, worrying that he might lose Amy Williams (Zoe Cramond) to his own son!

When Chloe Brennan (April Rose Pengilly) tells Gary that Kyle Canning (Chris Milligan) still has feelings for Amy he is blindsided, fearing that Amy might even feel the same.

The storyline begins when poison gas fills the vents at the community centre, leaving several people critically ill during the launch party for The Sonya Rebecchi Foundation.

When Sheila passes out from exhaustion, Kyle worries that Amy might also be in danger, going into complete panic.

Thankfully Amy is fine, but Kyle’s frightened reaction makes Chloe realize that his feelings for his ex-girlfriend are a lot more intense than he is making out.

He tries to play it cool at first but eventually gives in, spilling to Chloe that he is still in love with Amy, but is trying his very best to get over her.

To aid him in getting over her, Kyle hopes that he and Chloe can carry on enjoying their friends-with-benefits situation. But Chloe turns him down, saving herself from any future heartbreak.

Feeling hurt, she cannot help but interfere in a later conversation when she overhears Gary planning on asking Kyle to be his best man. In a bitter move, Chloe reveals to Gary that Kyle is still in love with Amy so probably isn’t the right person to be best man. She soon regrets this decision, but it’s too late – the damage has been done.

Determined to marry Amy before Kyle has any chance of coming between them, Gary contacts a celebrant and arranges the wedding for the following week, making it a surprise.
