Doria Ragland Is More Than Ready For Her New Royal Role

She’s got this! There are new reports that say Meghan Markle’s mother is in London and that she’s ready for her new role in her life: a grandmother to the newest member of the monarchy.

As a matter of fact, both Doria Ragland and Prince Harry have been by Meghan’s side ever since she began her maternity leave last month. And Doria doesn’t plan on leaving until she knows that her daughter is well and settled in her new role as a royal mother, too.

According to Britain’s The Sun, Doria is as calm and collected as a cucumber. She’s also very excited to watch baby Archie grow and of course, be a part of the little tot’s life. As many royal fans know, Meghan Markle is very close to her mother Doria.

In fact, she was the only member of her family to have attended Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding at Windsor Castle last year. That surely says something, right?

Doria plans on spending time in London with the royal couple for the next several months, or until the Duchess of Sussex is ready to go back to work.

Earlier reports have said that Meghan only plans on taking a three-month maternity leave. Once she’s back on her feet again, Doria will travel back to Los Angeles, where she works as both a social worker and yoga instructor.

Thomas Markle Sr. Not Heading To London Anytime Soon

Now, as far as Meghan’s father Thomas Markle Sr. is concerned, it doesn’t appear as though he will be traveling to London anytime soon to meet his new grandchild. Meghan has not spoken to her father ever since he failed to show up to her royal wedding last year.

If that weren’t enough, she’s also been left heartbroken over all of the things he’s said about her and their personal family affairs to the media. While Thomas has said that he would like to be a part of the baby’s life, it doesn’t look like that will happen unless he and Meghan repair their broken relationship first. For now, we can’t wait to see photos of Grandma Doria and her sweet grandchild!
