Neighbours spoilers and updates reveal viewers have watched for the past month or so as Harlow Robinson (Jemma Donovan) and Mackenzie Hargreaves (Georgie Stone) have had their eco-warrior helmets on.
They’ve been making contact with the businesses and residents of Erinsborough to try to persuade them to become more eco-friendly. In particular, Harlow and Mackenzie fought a battle with Lassiters owner Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis) to make the hotel more green, including staging a protest inside the hotel.
Now, a youth advisor position at Erinsborough Council has opened up and both the girls want to run for it. It’s always awkward when two friends want the same position, especially when they have to fight for it.
Neighbours Spoilers – The Perfect Candidate
Harlow believes that she is the perfect candidate as she is intelligent and strong, always standing up for what she thinks is right. Mackenzie also believes herself to be the perfect candidate, this time because she is always prepared to fight for the greater good – the protest at Lassiters Hotel proved that.
But with both girls believing they’re the best person for the job, their friendship becomes affected – it’s hard to be both best friends and political opponents. Deep down they both just want their friendship back, but their pride prevails and they both continue to rally against each other for the position.

Things Get Worse
Things only get worse when Harlow’s boyfriend Hendrix Greyson (Benny Turland) gets involved. He gives Harlow a speech to help her win the campaign, claiming that he wrote it. But in truth, it’s actually Mackenzie’s speech that she wrote for herself!
After hearing Harlow giving the speech, Mackenzie is horrified that her friend would betray her in such a way – not knowing the full truth – and is determined to confront her.
Will their friendship survive?
