Neighbours Spoilers: Veteran Jane Harris Returning As Permanent Character – With Her Daughter Nicolette

Neighbours spoilers and updates reveal veteran Jane Harris (Annie Jones) is returning as a permanent character – along with her daughter Nicolette Stone. (Charlotte Chimes)  Jane was first in the show between 1986 and 1989 and has returned a good few times since. The last time viewers saw her was four months ago when she ended up marrying her ex-fiancé Des Clarke after they realized that they still loved each other deeply.

The pair left Erinsborough for a honeymoon gifted to them by Lassiters and then settled their lives together in Perth. However, their happiness didn’t last long, as Karl Kennedy (Alan Fletcher) is soon to find out!

Karl And Susan Kennedy Run Into A good Friend

Karl and Susan Kennedy are on the Perth leg of their Australian holiday, and Karl is delighted when he runs into good friend Jane. But he’s surprised to see she’s in a terrible, emotional state, and soon learns that her marriage to Des quickly unraveled following their honeymoon, leading to a split. Karl wants to help his friend, but Jane quickly cuts him off, demanding he doesn’t tell Paul as she doesn’t want him to come to try to rescue her.

Karl respects Janes’s wishes, but once he returns back to Erinsborough he can’t get her out of his head. When he hears Paul explaining how happy Des and Jane seem on Facebook he’s confused, so Karl has a look for himself. He’s worried by her blatant lying but has an idea when he finds that Jane has a daughter in her late 20s, the product of her first marriage.

Karl Kennedy Contacts Nicolette Stone

Overstepping the mark, Karl decides to contact Nicolette and tell her what’s going on with her mother. When Susan finds out she’s worried, telling Karl it wasn’t his place. However, when Nicolette tracks Karl down at work, it seems that it was the right move! But Karl’s confused when Nicolette seems totally uninterested in her mother, finally revealing that she and Jane are estranged after her mother wouldn’t accept her coming out as a lesbian as a teenager.

Will Karl try to reunite mother and daughter?
